Hand-made life-size ceramic cat, high-fired red earthenware with tin glaze and enamel decoration. These cats are inspired by the famous ‘Brighton Cat’ at the Brighton Museum, which was made by Emile Gallé for Wemyss in Scotland in the 1860's.

The glass eyes are hand-made in Germany by an artisan glass maker and hand painted by the artist.

Marion Brandis is a German ceramicist who is lives and works in her home studio based in Lewes overlooking the South Downs.

Height of cat is 36 cm.
