Dylan Moran FRIED SUNSHINE Originals MAY 2026

"The show is called Fried Sunshine. I started doing these eggs a while ago, and I thought, I'm drawing eggs, what's that about? And I didn't know what it was about, but they kept on happening. Eggs are just kind of interesting things, you know, because they're on the way to being a whole thing. It's almost like life, life's sketchbook. Eggs are part of life's sketchbook, because it's life with notions, because it's going to become something. I think because every single day, we're looking at this big orange thing. There's the one in the sky, and then there's the one on your smartphone, the big orange thing that decides what your day is going to be like, who lives in the White House. And I think there's that kind of whole sense of having your mind fried every day by flipping on the phone and seeing the news and wondering, you know... What else has he blown up, or what else has he done? It's there, it's the same thing every day, like your breakfast on your plate. Bam, bam, bam. It's part of your rhythm, so you bring your mood to it, and you project it onto it. That's one of the things that was going through my mind, I think. And I was, you know, feeling over-fried and all the other associations with eggs. I can't really explain exactly why it happened, but it happened."
