Pool Paintings

In 2021, Kathryn chaperoned her young son to Canada, where he was filming Peter Pan And Wendy. As well as spending time on set, Kathryn was inspired to create her Vancouver and Pool Collections. 

She fell in love with the vast landscapes- snow-capped mountains and the slow-moving container ships in English Bay. This pool painting collection hopes to capture the cool, fresh-air of swimming in the sun with the snowy mountain peaks beyond, as well as a sense of calm and freedom.

Morocco

Inspired by a road trip from Marrakesh to the Sahara Desert, through the High Atlas mountains, Kathryn takes inspiration from the vibrancy of market day alongside sleepy houses and tall palms.

 Iceland

Kathryn enjoyed the freedom of this intriguing and empty, snow-covered, landscape to play with a more abstract way of working, concentrating more on the feelings and history of the place rather than being tied to a particular destination. The serene emptiness above ground contrasts with hot, volcanic activity beneath. Whilst taking inspiration from the vast snowy landscape and hot thermal pools, Kathryn also wants to leave enough room for your imagination to take you wherever you want to go.
