Giclee Print
A big stormy and luminescent sky swirling with varying shades of teal overlooks a cluster of iconic Dungeness cottages. The artists signature use of bold palettes and varying mark-making techniques imbue the desert flora and shingle beach with a colourful exuberance.
Each giclée print uses archival quality 320gsm Hahnemuhle paper and archival lightfast inks. All giclées are hand signed and released as a small edition of 75. The image size is 79x79cm, the paper size is 87 x 87cm. All prints are unframed. All prints are unframed and we strongly advise to frame using museum glass - a conservation grade UV anti-reflection glass, giving only 1% light reflection which also provides up to 99% UV protection.
Kathryn Matthews studied Visual Art at the De Montfort University in Leicester (1990-93). She has exhibited widely throughout the UK and internationally with shows in New York, Dubai and Paris. The artist is best known for her fresh perspectives of British coastal scenes and her vibrant colour palette inspired by her extensive travels. The stripping and re-application of layers and glazes and bold textural mark making gives the work a luminous and often ethereal quality.
