Inspired by a road trip across the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco and the hidden pockets of tropical utopia with breathtaking pools. Kathryn uses 23carat pure gold leaf to add a warm glow to the paintings which subtly changes coloured throughout the day.
Kathryn has always been known for her colourful palette and varied mark making.
Kathryn Matthews studied Visual Art at the De Montfort University in Leicester (1990-93). She has exhibited widely throughout the UK and internationally with shows in New York, Massachusetts, Dubai and Paris. Her work has been published in Canada, USA and the Uk.
