Autumn Seagulls on the Rocks

Created as a sequel to the hugely popular ‘Seagulls on the Rocks’ this is one of the artist’s most iconic works to date. The vibrancy of the aqua sea is enhanced by the introduction of an autumnal palette, bathing the idllyc town of St. Ives with a warm, exotic light.

This is a giclee print using archival quality 320 gsm Hahnemuhle paper and archival lightfast inks. All giclee's are hand signed and released as an edition of 50. The image size is 80x80cm, the paper size is 90x90cm. All prints are unframed. 

Kathryn Matthews studied Visual Art at the De Montfort University in Leicester (1990-93). She has exhibited widely throughout the UK and internationally with shows in New York, Dubai and Paris. Her paintings have a luminous and often ethereal quality that is achieved through vibrant colour, a variety of mark making techniques and multiple layering and glazings.
