During the pandemic Kathryn was lucky enough to spend several months working in Vancouver which is the inspiration behind this latest collection.
She fell in love with the vast landscapes, snow-capped mountains and the slow moving container ships in English Bay. Kathryn felt it was more befitting for this collection to work on large canvases to capture the majesty of the landscape. Whether or not you are familiar with this landscape we hope you will enjoy the sense of colour and adventure that these paintings evoke.
Kathryn has always been known for her colourful palette and varied mark making.
Kathryn Matthews studied Visual Art at the De Montfort University in Leicester (1990-93). She has exhibited widely throughout the UK and internationally with shows in New York, Massachusetts, Dubai and Paris. Her work has been published in Canada, USA and the Uk.
