Katty McMurray
Ceramics Italiana 2
Oil on Linen
Part of a series of the wonderful Amalfi Ceramic pots found dotted about this splendid coastline.
'Being half Italian, Italy has always been a part of my life, and I have returned annually, discovering more wonderful parts on every visit. This latest collection sketched from the Bay of Naples has been a joy to paint, with its candy coloured houses and turquoise sea. I hope you enjoy this collection as much as I have painting them.'
All of Katty McMurray's paintings are framed in a wooden tray frame and hand-painted in Farrow & Ball’s ‘All White’ by the Ingo Fincke gallery, Battersea. Please allow approx 10cm each side to the 28x28cm canvas size.
Katty McMurray studied at the Chelsea School of Art (1988-91) exhibiting widely throughout throughout the UK and the London art fairs - accumulating an extensive list of collectors. Her work draws on her extensive travels, with a more recent focus on the British coast. Clean lines, solid brightly coloured shapes and a meticulously balanced palette are a hallmark of Katty’s serene and restorative oil on linens and line drawings.
