Katty McMurray
Coffee and Daffs on a Cornish afternoon
Oil on Linen
***ON DISPLAY AT THE THOMAS HENRY GALLERY IN NEWLYN, CORNWALL***
Porthleven with coffee and daffs.
'The Cornish coastline has always been a place of sanctuary for me. Since my first sketching trip there at 16, I have returned annually to this magnificent coastline. With each visit I find something new appearing in my sketchbooks, be it line or colour, sky or sea. I hope you enjoy this collection as much as I have painting them.'
Framed in a white wooden tray frame by the Ingo Fincke gallery, Battersea. Please allow approx 4cm each side to the 40 x 40cm canvas size.
Katty McMurray studied at the Chelsea School of Art (1988-91) exhibiting widely throughout throughout the UK and the London art fairs - accumulating an extensive list of collectors. Her work draws on her extensive travels, with a more recent focus on British coastal landscapes. Clean lines, solid brightly coloured shapes and a meticulously balanced palette are a hallmark of Katty’s serene and restorative oil on linens and line drawings.
