A flotilla of moored gondolas and townhouses painted in soft-hues of pinks, cream and burnt orange huddle beneath the towering domes of the Basilica San Marco. The bustle and signs of island-life are balanced beautifully by a spacious cool blue canal, lending a calm and collective air to this meditative oil on linen.

All of Katty McMurray's paintings are framed in a wooden tray frame and hand-painted in Farrow & Ball’s ‘All White’ by the Ingo Fincke gallery, Battersea. Please allow approx 10cm each side to the 90x90cm canvas size.

Katty McMurray studied at the Chelsea School of Art (1988-91) exhibiting widely throughout throughout the UK and the London art fairs - accumulating an extensive list of collectors. Her work draws on her extensive travels, with a more recent focus on the British coast. Clean lines, solid brightly coloured shapes and a meticulously balanced palette are a hallmark of Katty’s serene and restorative oil on linens and line drawings.
