A refined palette of denim blues, mineral greys and accents of buttercup yellow echo the crisp coastal light in this cool depiction of Copenhagen’s stunning 17th century Nyhavn - the city’s gateway to the sea. Clean lines accentuate the architecture of the waterfront renowned for it’s long salty history, steeped in heritage.
Katty McMurray studied at the Chelsea School of Art (1988-91) exhibiting widely throughout throughout the UK and the London art fairs - accumulating an extensive list of collectors. Her work draws on her extensive travels, with a more recent focus on the British coast. Clean lines, solid brightly coloured shapes and a meticulously balanced palette are a hallmark of Katty’s serene and restorative oil on linens and line drawings.
Each giclée print is produced under licence from the Fine Arts Guild using archival quality 320gsm Hahnemuhle paper and archival lightfast inks. All giclées have the artist’s distinct embossed stamp, are hand signed and released as an edition of 50. The paper size is 84x85cm. All prints are unframed.
